Two-Sided Images (2005 – 2018)
The Rete-Chromes in this chapter were designed as dual-image panels in which the image on one side comes through and becomes a part of the image on the other side. I find forward and reverse strongly interconnected. As a printmaker, I spent many years developing images on metal plates or wood blocks to create reverse-image prints on paper. I enjoy how two-sided Rete-Chromes engage viewers in time and space, with the memory of one side mixing with the perception of the other.
